It was our last chance for the clouds to clear & to get a glimpse of the rooftop of the world, Mount Everest! Early morning alarm & we’re first on the terrace, minutes before sunrise, the anticipation mounting.

The local guide on hand with the map of the ridge is able to put names to the peaks we can see. By no means the biggest or the most impressive, as it’s further away, is the Big E itself, Mount Everest.

As the sun rises it reflects off the snow-capped peaks of the Himalayas. Definitely worth the wait!

The perfect start to our final day in Nepal, not sure how anything can top this though!
